Three recordings I made using modified speakers to vibrate a drum head and a brass plate. I made recordings at different times of day, to see how my playing varied with time of day, in the same way that ragas are meant for certain times of day.
"Evening 070504" and "midnight 070429.2" both use the same scale which contains the ratios 1/1, 6/5, 5/4, 27/20, 36/25, 3/2, 25/16, 9/5 and 243/125. "morning 070508" uses a just-intonated Lydian scale.

A field recording originally made in Bladensburg, MD which was then filtered according to the centroid of the sound.  I usually don't manipulate field recordings, but I liked how this one turned out.
"Desolation was Bladensburg to look at, and low-lived wickedness to know."

An improvisation using Supercollider patch controlled with a Wacom tablet. It was recorded late at night.
"But steam, like a bolt of lightning, struck this cross-roads Sodom"
