Born in England and raised in Germany & much of the
western US, Kelvin Pittman has been an active member of
the NW improvised music scene since 2001. Though he began playing music
as a guitarist, and expanded his skill set to include clarinet, drums,
electronics and found objects, he has spent the last decade focusing on the saxophone,
defining & refining his own personal language on both alto &
tenor. He has performed with many notable musicians & has released
recordings with several ensembles including Super Unity, The Owl In
Daylight, 100 Flowers Ensemble, Thee Oregon Artificial Limb Company,
The eXtreme Elvis Revue, the project known only as "Tim Bradley",
Rocket Science and the Nigger Loving Faggots [with Kyp Malone of TV On The Radio],
Mesmer, Silver Creme, and select, limited live accompaniments for the bands Hustler White and JOMF.
Kelvin Pittman currently lives on Earth, somewhere, and is busy doing something he finds difficult
to explain, but he can assure you, it's not illegal. Yet.
