CDR009 Don Brown & Dan Reynolds edition of 100
released in 2002 out of print
The ground breaking release of recorded music by mytstic/mythical composers
and musicans
Don Brown and Dan Reynolds. Both emerged in the late 60's American music scene
as pioneers in self music/object music and christened a methodology of improvisation/composition
that was wholly their own and pointed the way for personal musics of the future.
Their work, or more apt: ideas of form and process, as a duo is widely undocumented
until the advent of this release and realization by Joseph Foster and Bryan Eubanks,
both familiar to this label and some of the very few comtemporary musicians interested
in the work of Brown and Reynolds, with which the younger musicans each developed
deep relationships concurrently in 1999, and in the case of Foster/Reynolds, perhaps
maintain until this day.
