A stellar document of improvisations from German saxophonist Alfred
Harth and American ex-pat Joe Foster recorded in Seoul, Korea in the
fall of 2003 at Harth's home studio. This recording finds both in fine
form, the veteran free jazz saxophonist paired with the playful, yet
focused, young "trumpet" player Foster, for 12 tracks of quite slippery
music. Very active, quick changes, unpredictable turns. Most likely an
anomoly in the discography of Harth (who's early work in the 1970's was
with Brötzman among many other lumanaries of European Free
Music) and quite in line with the development of Foster's music
considering this was right on the heels of work with Don Brown and Dan
Reynolds, this is a very interesting document indeed.
Personel: Alfred Harth (reeds, etc.), Joseph Foster (trumpet, etc.)
