CDR020 Jean Paul Jenkins/Joseph Foster/Mark Kaylor/K. Scott Handley trios 2004 edition of 50
released in 2005 still available
The companion disc to
CDR019, this recording finds Foster and Jenkins fullfilling different roles in two
different largely electronic trios with Portland musicians Mark Kaylor and K.
Scott Handley. Recorded in the same apartment and during the same week as the duos disc, these
five tracks share much of the intimate quality and associations of the former,
but the music resides in a much more distant area. Slowly developing pieces, spacious
improvisation and real time processing of acoustics make this a stark, but neccassary
contrast to the duo recordings.
Also comes with a unique color photograph by jeorja pines (pictured at right)
