This is an ongoing long distance collaboration initiated in Portland, Oregon in 2002 which builds upon itself, each successive mix incorporating slight modifications to form and sound, and subsequently being subjected to further modifications (within parameters we have defined and which have been defined through the process over the years). Beginning with the initial material recorded 8 years ago, we have exchanged remixes of that piece, the palette we have to work with is only the current version of the piece to which we are free to add some new material, but the majority of change comes from the re-working of what is already there.
This is not a fixed release, but is instead a public forum, initiated November 2010, to present ongoing (re)mixes of this piece.
This is not an archive, but a temporary staging of the process we have been developing for the last 8 years as it continues.
We post a piece, exchange it, and the other re-interprets it. There is no schedule or fixed calender for when new versions will be posted. Listen to the most recent version of the work in the player below or download it as an mp3 for your own records.
